Pampapados's spaceSpeak My Mind 8月9日 hello.......i am backHai every one, Long time not update from me. been depressed for a while, looks like it getting a little better and i hope that it will get better somemore....i hope :) 4月30日 God help us from such stupidity....pls pls plsIn politics there are different levels. One being policy driven, two being issue driven and third being stupid driven. The first typically refers to a shift of existing polices like tax or affirmative action polices, the second refers to incidents or events that trigger a debate or protest and the third only happens with Malaysian Indian Congress.
Now you are thinking, another MIC bashing time…actually its not, they have actually shown the world their stupidity themselves, it like they have taken the slipper from their feet and used it to smack their heads and then offers the others (other races) their slipper to be used to smack them more. No wonder everybody is calling Indians stupid and Indians are confirming that as well.
So what’s that that got me so worked up….if you have seen the papers recently…MIC as usual with their superior intellectual mind and thoughts that can only come out thru a donkeys arse decided to woo votes by “employing” actors to impersonate the Late MGR to gain votes. This simply demonstrate two things, one how a ruling political party can resort to such stupid tactics and two the fact that the Indian community is accepting this, is a testament to the failure of MIC to educate and improve the social position of Indians. While other races are fighting base on issues that concern the whole town and country, MIC is showing what a clown the Indians are. I just don’t understand why we continue to allow fools to be leaders.
Indians are facing tremendous problems in the face of the current political scenario. In regards to Ijok, my congratulations to the winner, he must work hard for the plight of his constituents. It would be nice to see an ethical and humble leader who will not be lead by stupid leaders but instead work for the community as a whole. There now needs to seriously consider the role of MIC in the coalition, its role of leading the Indian is not working. Under the “leadership” of Datuk Sri S. Samy Vellu, the Indian community has expanded its influence from top lawyers and doctors into, excellent lorry drivers, rubbish pickers as well as being famous for gangsterism and being top in alcohol related crimes.
In the last SPM examination, there was no notable Indian kid that did well and yet MIC with their brain stuck up a donkeys arse says that “more” professional are sending their kids to Indian schools…. I really wonder if this professionals they are referring to are mainstream professionals or other “types” of professional… if you know what I mean (just for some of you who don’t get it… I meant professionals killers, professional con man or any other professional not related to the accepted meaning of professional). Time and again MIC keeps embarrassing its self in front of the public and this in turn allows people of other racial denomination to have a very negative impression of Indians…very soon every Indian kid will be calling each other "what’s up nigga on the streets"… and killing each other….wait wait….isn t this already happening….sigh….
Anyway if you have seen the interview given by the Ijok MIC candidate Mr Parthiban, its is quite embarrassing to hear the English that he is speaking, actually Tan Sri Khalid also fared no better when Syed Ali had to keep bailing him out of reporters simple questions. It just simply points to the fact that the people we are given to choose as our representatives are of low caliber and most likely no more than a cow with its nose tied with ropes.
If there was really a god, every time the MIC president spoke, god would have been smacking his head for ever creating ADAM and EVE 4月11日 State of Malaysian FootballBeing a football coach of some value (I hope) I have been asked many times by people about why our national team is doing so badly in the international arena. Before I comment, I really hope our local newspaper and TV stations would stop refereeing to football as soccer; it irritates the hell out of me when I hear newspapers such as The Star uses the word soccer. As far as I am concern soccer is a term used by Americans to differentiate football with their stupid game called football where a bunch of bulky looking nerds’ suit up in heavy armory to play a game that is similar to rugby. There was once a challenge made by a bunch of Australian rugby players to play an American footbal team….the rugby team trash the shit out of them and I mean not only the score but literally trash the shit out of them and best of all the “footballer” were padded and the rugby players were in their rugby attire. As usual American’s is all about the hype while others actually do the work. In every war, its always the British SAS or Australian SAS that bails their asses out of a tight situation or in the case of Mogadishu it was the Pakistani and Malaysian regiments that saved their assess from being slaughtered. The American owe the British a lot when it comes to ground warfare because before any invasion, the American rely heavily on the British SAS to do the damage behind enemy lines like destroy supply lines or key defensive position before the invasion “parade” is organized by the Americans……yet every idiot thinks America is a great country….. But one thing is for sure, they do one hell of a marketing job.
Anyway back to the topic at hand, we as Malaysians now generally don’t follow our national team performance as we know we cannot expect any results from them. Most Malaysians Blame the government (sometimes I really wonder whether people are really that stupid or just racist) because of quote system. They say that the government has this ruling that the majority of the team members must be Malay. Let me first highlight that there is no such ruling and secondly I have been involve with coaching for about 10years and know exactly what the problem with our team is. It’s just a simple problem called experience.
Let me explain, imagine you are a footballer in primary school….your first tournament is the ZON PUDU tournament in which you are placed in a zone that has three other schools in the group, so you play all group matches and qualify for the semi-finals and then finals…lets go further, assuming you win the tournament and you will be involved in the inter zone tournament where you will be playing another 10 to fifteen games then assuming you win the inter zone tournament …..You will be involved in the national schools level tournament and play another 12 games and assuming you won the tournament. In total you will playing around 30 games per year (assuming you win all the way each year). Once that is finish there will not be any competitive games for you to play until the following year so you become idle and start playing social football with friends and family and start picking up bad habits like dribbling too much, not focus and too playful that your skills start losing its shape and the relax mentality start creeping back into your game. You will also start losing your football sense and direction and forget all that you learn during training…..so when the tournament comes next year your training will be focus on correcting these habits that you have relearned during the “off season”. In comparison let’s take Korea or Japan for an example. A child there plays any average of 300 competitive games each year, in which the leagues are organized for the whole year. This ensures that the child develops the understanding and maturity of football way faster that the others and also it helps to ensure that the child football education is continuously progressing and not going back to “re train again”…. In two years the child would have played about 600 games compared to child in Malaysian who most probably played around 60 games. 600 vs. 60 games experience is a lot of difference and no amount of training is going to replace experience.
For Malaysia to be in the top level in the next 15 to 20 years FAM needs to seriously organize competitive league for school children starting from 12 years onwards and get their state association to organize year round school leagues and not say that this is not their jurisdiction. Local leagues currently run by the State FA’s is to unearth local talents and is not working even…… if they dig all the way to china, you might find a shocked Chinese farmer but not a ‘complete footballer” hey the Chinese farmer may have more skills that our local boys!
So the issue is not about Race, Training, Physique, food or mentality but about experience.
It’s as simple as this……..why FAM haven figure this out? That I don’t know….better ask them!!! 3月23日 value's worthA poem I wrote for a group of people I know.
I am married, With three kids to feed, Just barely enough, To last the month's need,
I worked really hard, To keep my job safe, I did my best praying hard, For my job to be saved,
I try to share my view, I gave all my sweat, Hoping to change some things anew, End up getting really scared,
I toil and toil for them, I struggle and struggle for them, Hoping that they like me, For my blood was for them,
I stayed on base on trust, Eating sometimes only bread, Loyalty for me is a must, But was scorn instead,
I live my days, With hopes and promise, Hoping luck will change, But these things gives me a miss,
I just realize today, Just like a bull toiling away, All the Sweating i did in the day Is not even worth two ringgit a day,
3月19日 Just in TimeToday is another day in my life that just start on a "just in time" routine. I woke just in time to get a shower which was just in time for me to get ready to leave my house at 6.50am, which will be just in time for me to reach the office. I reach my office at 8.59am. My office has got this particular form that u fill up every time you are late. Even if you are 1 minute late you are suppose to fill up this form and submit to your head of department to verify. I suppose its a good idea to do that , just that, wouldn’t it make sense to just sign on the punch card if the reason is acceptable instead of wasting paper and killing more trees. I wonder sometimes......sigh......... For most of us life is about “just in time” syndrome. Have we really sit down and thought about it, why do we do this day out and day in. It always the same routine…………we rush every morning. we…..wake up, brush our teeth, shit, shower, dress up, lock up , drive like a mad idiot and end up cursing at the Jam in front of you………..really it the same shit every F#%King day (refraining from major vulgarities as I got some comments from my last post) yet we still do it everyday. Every night I sleep setting my alarm clock to ring at 5.45am, konon want to do exercise in the morning but every time the damn clock rings….you put it to snooze and the same every five minutes the alarm rings….until finally the alarms gives up...... (In other words, if a clock could think he is probably asking you to go f#@k yourself). Perhaps there is a reason why we behave this way, we are constantly bombarded with datelines and bosses “unreasonable” demands. Our minds are constantly working to either find an excuse why the job has not been done or thinking of how to best do it. Our brains are constantly working and the reason why we procrastinate is simply because our brains want to take a break. It just convinces our heart that another 5minutes will do. It may sound silly and most people will say that this rubbish, people are like that because they are lazy…….if you think that its due to laziness try waking early in the morning to see crowd on the street……don’t be surprise if you see a lot of bosses and retirees running around smiling…….maybe they don’t have tight ass monkeys breathing down their arse anymore….and their brains is having a well deserved break. 3月16日 Rich and the poorI just felt like writing about life...because life really sucks for decent people.......I am not being a sore ass or a bitch but I guess life will always be unfair to good and nice people......
We drive everyday to work..........and we all know the jam is terrible. So we drive according to the law, we follow the correct lane we use the correct signals and so forth, but some dickhead cuts cue and slot his (come to think of it, its more the lady drivers that do that now a days) car in front of everyone else thus by passing the jam. Let’s look at the chain of events. He gets up late, takes his time to get ready then drives his car, cuts queue, breaks the law BUT he arrives in time to office. And ass holes or dumb fucks like us following all the stupid ass rules arrives late to office.....resulting in getting butt fucked by a tight ass boss who happens to live two minutes away who lectures you on how to get ready early in the morning and come early to "beat the jam".
Next up.........parking bays......when you are a considerate citizen you go round and round looking for a proper place to park, spending 10 to 15 minutes of your lunch time. So finally you find one and you go to one of the shops to have a nice lunch.....when you finished you look at your time and you got another 5mintes to reach your office. and you think …..ahhh...just nice to reach office...so with a smile o your face you step out of the shop and then your jaw falls down like a London bridge.... some stupid mother fucker drives straight from work double parks in your place and goes to have his lunch.... so you and your conscious civic mind start blowing your stupid ass horn that sound like a fart to get the attention of the prick who double parked.......you horn and horn...for five minutes...grumbling to yourself...things like. "let him come out...I will whack the shit out of him, nyama chow hai, kan ni na bu and a few other vulgarities that you know"......finally after 5 minutes, this stupid looking nerd comes out while wiping his mouth with his handkerchief............then you get ready....to bombard him with all the things you were planning to say in your mind...................and he shows his hand to you.....and what the fuck do you do............ you say its ok!!!..........che bai....it happends every fucking time....its ok!!!!!!......... What the fuck kind of answer is that………..of all the holy words available in the world…you choose ITS OK!!!!!!!!!!. Then you move your car and reach your office 5 minutes late….your stupid ass boss face is so fucking red that you can mistaken it for a lantern.
That how life treats decent people….people with their brains sticking up their arse and their consciences is something that comes out only when they shit, will have all the luck in the world. In many aspects of life, it’s always the same. In business the fucker who promises the whole fucking world and lies thru his teeth will get the job. The joker who put in 2 weeks of his life preparing the documents would most likely not get the job as compared to the dickhead who spend half a day in the brothel with the officer involve.
The Boss who provides medical benefit not even befitting a rodent and who reduces additional benefits like public holidays will enjoy quality time with their family but the rest of the people, they are suppose to work their ass off for the company while the Bosses goes on a Holiday with their family. Quality time is for the rich I suppose. I remember a boss of mine actually practices the Divide and Conquer formula on his own work Force!!!... The reason…….. To find people who will polish his ass so much so that he can see his face in it.
Even in your own family circle, you try to be nice and accommodate everybody, trying very hard to hold things together for the sake of your family and yourself. You want to solve thing in the best way possible without any one getting hurt or without breaking the family apart. But this never happens; they will accuse you of not caring, not interested, not responsible taking sides and so on. So again the person wanting to do the best thing for everyone will be branded and butt fucked for his efforts. Why bother right?
Look at our Politicians and enforcement agencies; sometimes it’s disgraceful to just know them. Go to night clubs and discos…you can see a lot of big shots hanging around bimbo’s and doing the dirty dancing…. I mean if you are young and you wana enjoy life, experience the opposite sex that’s not too bad…but having sagging old dicks whose face would give any child nightmares and body like a rolled up tau fu faa, so wobbly and round, dancing on the dance paints a very scary picture. But one thing I cannot understand for the life of me is Bimbo’s………….where on earth do they come from….oh my god…..I really wonder?....its like they hide their entire life under a closet and then suddenly pop out to give people like me high blood pressure. Its very easy to spot one, if your cant just start a conversation with her…confirm you will know it’s a Bimbo…if you still don’t know…run to the nearest toilet bowl put your head in and flush the water…it might help.
It make me feel like the rules are created to stop the decent and poor from improving their lives and ensure they remain in the same while the rich get richer by not following the rules. Hmmm it does sound like it right? Example a politician can set up an illegal factory and not get in trouble but a poor joker who remortgages his house to open a small shop will be harassed by enforcement agencies for not following the rules.
Look at our income tax laws, if you are a wage earner there is no way you can escape from paying your taxes but a tycoon who owns millions of dollars worth of asset can have a field day playing with the number to suite their fancies. Again the rich become richer by “evading taxes” while the common people must abide by the laws of the land and continue trying to make ends meet.
I guess society these days have different values altogether, perhaps it time all of us incorporate some Kiasu mentality in to our life, hey its this kiasu attitude that helped Singapore to becomes a developed nation. I guess values these days count for nothing…that’s why people get so emotional when they see a scene in a movie that portrays some value…..eye drops start rolling down…
And yet every moron and dick head thought Marxism is a evil idea…..as usual the bad stuff always last longer that good ones…wonder is this the reason democracy outlived Marxism?..... Go figure 2月17日 MIC putera-WOW what an IdeaI think once again MIC has pulled down its pants for the public to view its core intellectual mind, surrounded by tiny bushes of hairy characters ready to mop up the balance crap that gets stuck on its way out. The solution for all Indian problems.............drum rolls............PUTERA MIC...what crap......just because other component party got putera or puteri to represent the middle age group, MIC wants to have one to combat the social ills facing INDIAN people. Please stop blaming the government for all the social ills in the country. The Chinese couldn’t give a rat ass about what the government does for the Malays; they just find ways to improve their lives. Indians on the other hand sit on their asses and complain that the government is not fair la, not ethical la always one sided and bunch of other crap. (For your info these shit happens everywhere around the world) at least they give you a public holiday on Deepavali day. I sincerely believe UMNO, MCA, GERAKAN and other component parties have been sincere in helping the Indian community. I do not think the goverment has ever short changed any of the races in this country. I strongly believe Indians have much more to offer to Malaysia than expected. Among UMNO members that I know, they have openly said that this country has only two guardians, the MALAYS and the CHINESE, which to a large extend I agree. Indians still consider India their motherland and not Malaysia, unlike Chinese who have build empires in this countries owe it to Malaysia to stay focus on Malaysia. Hence there is genuine intention to protect Malaysia' economic integrity. Before I share my thoughts about the possible reason for this situation in Malaysia, please do this for me, the next time you go to a shopping mall, consciously take a mental picture of the crowd and count the number of Indians you find or better still go into MPH, borders or any other book shop and do the same thing. You will be shocked to see that there are hardy or any Indians at all.....try it and see.......... Anyway back to this issue, I think there are two major reasons for the quick downfall of the Indian society 1) Tamil Schools I know I am going to be super fucked by fanatic Indians over this but what the hell........it’s for the community anyway. I strongly believe that Tamil schools should be scraped for a more national school typed system. Wait before you start thinking that..."who is this idiot talking about Tamil like he knows a lot about our language.........." let me share some insight to you that may surprise some of you so called Tamil language professors. FACTS about TAMIL language 1) Its the oldest language that is complete. Even before Sanskrit took its shape or perhaps sound. The Chinese language is deferent because it in the form of pictorials’ 2) Its the base for all other south Indian dialects 3) Its perhaps the most unique language of all. So allow me to speak my mind. I say we should remove Tamil schools simple because it’s unable to churn out any form or measurable success and we cannot blame the children for not doing well. Let me share some of my experience that I have with my Indian friends. A lot of times I don't see any Indian parent taking their child to the book shop or library to generate their reading habit.....remember the mental picture i ask you to take in a book shop...... but then suddenly when they come of age...they keep asking them to go study. if you do not instill the idea no amount of pushing is going to work...it creates unnecessary tension for the child...resulting in hidden anger. Let me paint you this picture of an Indian kid...........I am studying in an Indian school, I learn science, mathematics geography in Tamil and I am happy doing well. In my UPSR I did very well so I am to go a kebangsaan school, meaning I must study in remove class to understand Malay and English for one year. (Imagine comprehending an entire language in 9months). So now I am off to my kebangsaan school (because if you notice there aren’t that many secondary schools in Tamil). Once I reach there, everything is taught in English or Malay, I cannot follow, why the other kids can understand....I cannot........this is where the low self esteem starts building in an Indian child.... he will now start thinking that he is inferior to the rest...reinforce by the fact that other kids will be calling him names.......like keling and boduh.....so if it was you....you will lose self moral and esteem as well. So MIC needs to address this first because the only way for a child to have self esteem in this instance is to boast his ego and the only one available to him at his moment is Indian Gangsters ( if you notice Indians are heavily involved in gansterism, robbery and murder). So in summary The isn't enough Tamil secondary school to cope for the number of Tamil primary schools resulting in bright and brilliant children going to kebangsaan school and getting frustrated because they cannot cope...not because they are inferior...but because of language!.........So the issues is not forming a putera but address issues such as this and not to hold on to emotional values at the expenses of the whole community. 2) Tamil movies I believe that Malaysian should restrict the import of Tamil movies from India. Let me explain............... I spoke to a good friend of mind who has been in the movie industry for the last 30years who explain to me why the Indian movie industry is among the biggest in the world producing more than 300 movies per year (by the way he is Chinese). He said that in India where the population is 1.2bil more than 70% do not own a television set and are often in hardship and poverty. This movies are made for these poor people to have a momentary escapism from their daily hardship...a moment of happiness if I may say so....that’s why 99% of Tamil movies totally escapes any logical thinking. Tamil movies are created for the Indian people in INDIA not Malaysian. Malaysian Indian's do not go thru the hardship that an average Indian go thru in India.....therefore the movies produce is not suitable for people here........when you watch Illogical movies too much it subconsciously effects your mental ability to comprehend simple things in life. The other problem is that if you go to any Indian House........the only channel that will ever be on will be 6, 73 or any of the football channels...............missing entirely will be channels such as Discovery, National Geography............. In short I strongly believe these are the major reason why Indian society is in such a terrible sate in this country...... (The above is just a bit of my thoughts.........for a full review of my thoughts...wait for my book....hopefully end 2007). At the end of the day we need an MIC but an MIC which is more effective and proactive in tackling issues.
INDIANS in Malaysia were once highly respected people.
CNYHI everybody,
I would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Holidays. Drive safe and be alert...............drink a lot....of water and coffee to stay alert ok.....
Enjoy the holidays
Love 2月14日 Babel the movieIt has been a very long time since a movie has moved me this much and I am glad that this movie was nominated for several awards. It’s a bout the lives of a few families from around the world connected with one incident. I won’t tell you the story and how its ends (incase some of you haven’t seen it and for fear of verbal and physical abuse).
Anyway if you haven’t watch it please go and have a look. I am sure many of you who know me well, would know why I like the movie. In all aspect I believe this movie could not have been made by an American because it portrays innocently what is happening around the world at this moment.
Incident 1 It all started because the boys were shooting at cars and busses from the top of the hill where their goats are grazing. The Moroccan police track them down and finally a shoot out occurs. The scene of the boy dying really touched me as his father struggle to keep him alive and stop the other son from shooting at the police (both kids are aged around 13 and 11 I think). The son that got shot was the obedient and decent one. At the end the boy dies, both the father and the younger son are arrested.
WHO DO YOU BLAME FOR THIS? A JAPANESE DUDE
Incident 2 The nannies desperate attempt to go back for her sons wedding in Mexico was turn down by her employer who was stuck in Morocco hospital waiting for his wife operation to be over. In desperation she took both kids back to Mexico to attend the wedding. On her way back her nephew who is drunk ran the customs check and forcing him to abandon the nanny and the two Caucasian kids in the dessert. The nanny in all desperation took care of the kids as well as tried looking for help which eventually turned up, in the form of border patrol. She was a very good and loving nanny who loved the kids as her own. So after 16 years in USA and looking after the kids from baby. She is thrown back to Mexico for good. The good thing is that her ex-employer didn’t press charges.
IF IT WAS YOU WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE? SMACK THE JAPANESE DUDE
Incident 3
Arm Pitt (Brad Pitt) and his wife are on a holiday in Morocco traveling in a bus, apparently trying to patch up things between them (aren’t they all). His wife for me is a real tight ass, the type who cannot eat in a hawker stall or drink water from a tap. The miss-goody-to-shoe-proper-to-high-up-the-crack-kinda person, anyway she gets shot while sleeping in the bus. They are then rushed to a nearby town where she is given some help by a local doctor and a elderly lady. However she has lost a lot of blood and needs to be sent to a hospital. They have called an ambulance which was on the way but was stopped by the American embassy who would prefer to send a American Helicopter to rescue them ( If it was me, I won’t give a rat ass what mode is coming as long as they get here on time)…but guess what! In all reality, the American are saying that she was shot by a terrorist…see why I like this movie (As long as it’s a Muslim country, its 99.9% an terrorist act) and they are sending in a army helicopter. Here is where it gets very interesting. The Moroccan government is refusing to allow the American helicopter their air-space because they want the American to stop saying that this is an act of terrorism. The American’s as usual (with their faces planted between their ass) refuse to do so, hence both ambulance and helicopter is stuck.............so
WHO DO YOU BLAME? THE STUPID JAPANESE DUDE
If you notice after each question, I blame a Japanese dude right? Ok I will explain.
All three incidents are related. It started by the two boys shooting at busses and cars, one of the bullet hits the bitch (brad’s wife) in the neck that happens to be in the bus. As they are sent hospital brad calls home and tells the nanny that she cannot go back for her sons wedding. See it’s all related.
NOW, why I blame the Japanese dude is because this dude had a hobby called hunting (I mean carrying a big gun to compensate for a overly small penis by doing a manly thing like Hunting….wooooo……what the fuck…humans are really stupid. If you fucking carry a knife or spear and go hunting for food to feed the kids, then you a man but carrying a gun and shooting at them and calling it hunting is super fucked up. When the Chinese created firecracker it was used for peaceful reasons, give it to a Caucasian he turns it into a real effective weapon. Go figure why historicaly westerners have been screwing up the earth.) Anyway after his manly hunting session he gives his rifle to his guide….see how it’s shaping up…..who later sells the gun to the boys father.
THAT’S WHY I BLAME THE JAPANESE DUDE
But overall I think the movie is asking us to reflect deeper into its meaning. In a worldly context, my interpretation is that the modern nations such as the Americans are in actual fact the reason there are so many problems in the world today. In their self styled world police mentality, they are actually the antagonizes of the modern world.
Reflection and understanding is needed. Many of my friends know of my view on the Middle East issues, which I would not be discussing here, would know what I mean.
Humans are too interested in conflicts rather than solutions. I only hoped that when we hum to the famous song named IMAGINE we actually took time to understand its lyrics.
2月2日 Scuba is funA couple of days ago a friend of mine who was interested in taking the sport of scuba diving got scared after an idiot told him that scuba diving is a very dangerous sport and that you could die anytime from a burst blood vessels. (If any body knows someone that fits this description or says the same thing to you……..please do this…before he can end his sentence when he says scuba diving is a dangerous sport give him smack in his face for me….and if he tries to say something again smack him again keep doing that until he changes the topic……). He gave my friend a very bad impression on diving, so as any good diver will do, I knocked some sense into his head by advising him on the rules and safety aspects of diving as well as the fun part of it, because in any thing that we do, if we think we got big kahunas and want do things to show off then don’t blame god if you get your stupid ass hurt.
Anyway back to the topic, Scuba Diving is a wonderful sport, imagine this……………………… you are in a boat traveling from the beach heading towards the ocean wearing a black wet suite and some canggih watch and equipments, in your head you feel like a navy seal going on a covert operation to some unknown destination….the wind in your face, tasting the salty ocean water as it splashes against the bottom of the boat, everybody maintaining a dignified silence and waiting in anticipation, then as the boat slows down you can finally see the island that you are approaching and it looks deserted. In your mind you are thinking what could be hidden here. The captain (divemaster) shouts a command for you to get ready. “Lets buckle up guys” so you eagerly get ready putting on your scuba and equipments on. Then the captain gives everybody a quick briefing and asks everybody to get in the water. As you look over the edge of the boat you stare in astonishment as you are able to see through to the bottom of the ocean which is some 20 meters away. You can see colorful objects swimming everywhere. As you splash into the water you are excited as you wait for the rest to get in. Then as every body is in the water your captain says “let do it” so you quickly release the air from your BCD and you begin to sink, as your head passes the surface of the water you find yourself in a different universe, everything becomes silent, the only sound you can hear is the bubbles that you blow and your own voice talking to you (Believe me you can actually hear your thoughts talking)…. As you slowly freefall to the bottom of the ocean you are transported into another world, an indescribable place with colors’ so colorful and unique, you would not find anyway else. Then as you steady yourself you realize that you are actually swimming with fishes small and big and so colorful that you thought never exist……then suddenly your heart starts beating very fast …dud dud dud …….and it get even faster as you stare at the object in front of you….from all the movies that you have seen and all the horror stories you have read about the creatures of the ocean makes you heart beat even faster because you are now face to face with …………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………….…..………..SAMY VELLU trying to build a toll for divers in tioman…………..(sorry couldn’t help taking a pot shot at him hehehehe)…………….anyway you come face to face with a 4 footer shark, so excited that you actually swim towards it rather than away from it (errm that actually happen to me) as you slowly calm down you start getting a feeling of dissatisfaction as your gauge shows you 50, meaning its time to head to the surface for your safety stop. After hovering at 5 meters for about 5 minutes you slowly ascend to wards to the surface and your adventure comes to an end. You can’t wait for the next adventure.
The above is an example of the fun that you will have if you proceed with your certification.
Now the dangerous part as in any sport, is that you need to take precautions and follow rules in order to be safe, just like driving a car without a seat belt is dangerous. The same logic applies in scuba diving….unfortunately there are some dungu birds still don’t understand this. In diving there are a few rules to abide by (these are the layman guidelines only as you will have to learn the proper safety procedure when you go for your certification classes)
1) Always plan your dive 2) Always use a dive computer or safer use a dive planner to calculate your nitrogen level 3) Don’t be a hero and challenge the limits by going too deep or practice agresive bounce diving ( meaning ascending and desending too far apart and unnesesary) 4) Always check your air levels 5) Make sure you dive with a buddy. 6) Don’t get intoxicated before a dive
Now once you understand the above, you are on your way to great fun and by the way when you dive, you normally have to go islands and on these islands there are normally half naked HOT guys and gals around, so if diving itself is not the motivation then these would most likely be the bigger motivation.
So have Fun and Dive safe.
PROUD TO BE A CERTIFIED RESCUE DIVER WITH PADI
2月1日 Public holidays in MalaysiaRecently I have been ask to comment on the issue of public holidays in Malaysia and the rights of the employee and the employer. You need to have read the Employment Act inorder to understand how it works, particularly S60D[1](a) and *[S.60(D)91A) EA] *of the said act.
Here a brief explanation, Every Employee is entitle to 10paid public holidays. 4 days from the national holidays list which are the Kings Birthday, Labour day, State Sultan B'day/Federal territory day and National day and the balance 6 shall be from any of the gazetted holidays. However for any dumb Bosses who are getting ready to use this section to remove the number of holidays, hold your asses...oooppps sorry hold your horses. In order for the above section to apply (meaning you really dont give a shit about the goverment, the state and your hardworking staff) there are a few conditions.
The first consideration a stupid ass Boss has to consider is that if it has been a practice to have that particular date as a holiday then he/she has noted it as a public holiday. Therefore under S60(D) any departure from the common practice must be agreed by the employee. Your Boss must get the consent of the majority of employees before he can actually change the number of holidays. Secondly, the same section also says that " the employer must display a notice at the place of employment specifying the 6days selected before the commencement of each calender year". This means that you have to place the memo before the new year, for example if you want it to take effect in the year 2007 then the memo must have been issued in the month of Dec 2006.
That is the law situation in Malaysia, however in actual pratice most decent companies that are run well normalyy don't need to resort to this kind of measures to increase productivity unless they are in a critical industry such as security, newspaper etc etc. Removing Public holidays is genereally not a good management choice to boast staff performance or company performance, if at all it normally has the reverse effect on the company. If you do not take care of your staff, your company will not grow, it is now realised that the asset of any company lies its workers. So all you Bosses think very carefully if you want to exercise your "rights" under S60 of the Employment Act.
"Love your Job but never fall in love with your company, becasue you will never know when the company stops loving you" quote from a management guru 1月25日 Talking about Rare shark spotted
Quote Rare shark spotted 1月12日 Western JournalismA man sees a woman getting chased by a dog. When the dog is about to bite
the woman, the man intervenes and kicks the dog. A reporter was seeing all this: He said 'That was great.
I'll definitely publish this in my newspaper. Tomorrow, the headline will be "LOCAL HERO SAVES LADY FROM A DOG".
The man replied "Thank you, but I'm not from here. I am from US". Reporter: OK. Then the headline
will be "US CITIZEN SAVES WOMAN FROM A DOG'' Man: Actually, I live in US but I'm not a US citizen. I'm a Pakistani national.
Next day, the headline in the paper read TERRORIST ATTACKS LOCAL DOG
Something to think aboutA very Interesting story Coffee for the soul A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her.
She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling,
it seemed as one problem was solved, new ones arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots
with water and placed each on a high fire .Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second
she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl.
She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft.
The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she
observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted
its rich aroma .The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?" Her mother explained that each of these objects
had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting.
However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile.
Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?
Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong,
but with pain and adversity, will I and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a
malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship
or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am
I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes
the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor.
If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.
When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level?
How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let
go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Farewell Friend............... 12月26日 Flood in JohoreWho in god's name would have predicted that Johore will be flooded like this. Close to 80,000 people are affected. A lot of relief work is on going. But I didn’t see any Civil defense people on the ground level. Even the army presence is minimal except for helicopters. I would presume that civil defense is the one most suited for situations like this. Anyway not too sure as to the cause of this flood. It’s important to study the impact as well as the triggers that lead to this flooding. Our metrological department is too inefficient to handle this, either due to insufficient qualified staff or equipments. We have to look at this area very seriously because people are not going to be bothered about these issues until something happens, the problems is when it happens, the consequence is terrible. We need to plan for contingencies better. We need to worry about natural disasters more now that its happening more frequently. Malaysia is a very unique country as well as tricky for leaders. Unique because its a country blessed with many different races and cultures and we have been living in harmony for many years however in situation of natural disaster can quickly turn into a racial issue. I don’t think politicians or local leaders understand the delicate situation. Even now there are complains that the government agencies are placing more resources into places with certain racial background. This leads into dissatisfaction among other races, these are the delicate situations that will arise when there is a natural disaster. It will take a lot of patience and understanding by people to appreciate the situation and leaders must not politicize the whole situation to gain political mileage as that mileage will lead to total damnation if not controlled. The government itself must also be complimented because in every issue they have to consider a lot of other parties interest and come out with the best possible solution which will benefit the majority of the people. To a large extend our political parties including the opposition are mature in their approach to national crisis. |
